CBT & DBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), is a type of talking therapy that helps you focus on understanding how what you think, feel and physically experience, affects how you behave.
CBT invites you to work with a practitioner to identify and challenge any negative thinking patterns and behaviour that are causing you problems and enable you to more effectively problem solve and significantly improve your experience.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is also a type of talking therapy, based originally on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but specifically designed to help those who feel emotions very intensely.
The aim of DBT is to help you:
● Understand and accept your difficult feelings
● Learn skills to manage them
● Become able to make positive changes in your life.
